Applesauce Bread

2 cups of flour
1 egg
1 T vegetable oil
1/2 packet active dry yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup applesauce

Put in bread maker, set for medium dark, small loaf. It makes a light, almost French style loaf, suitable for sandwiches but a little sweet and moist without being heavy.

If making as regular bread, mix, let rise in a warm place (100 F oven) for a couple hours with a wet cloth over the top of the bowl, then knead and allow to rise again before baking.

I let it rise a 2nd time overnight, baked it at 350 F for about 40 min.
