English Lavender, Lavandula angustifolia, comes in many varieties. These are called "cultivars" and may have specific name. Primarily, there are 3 types that I grow: light blue, dark blue, and pink.
Light Blue, probably any cultivar of the species, also includes 'Lavender Lady' which is distinguished most by its flower shape, having a short grouping at the top of the stem as well as a smaller grouping 2-3 inches below the top, separated by a space. This prolific lavender may have as many as 200 spikes on a small plant and re-blooms after the June harvest well into the autumn.
Dark Blue, 'Hidcote' has intensely blue flowers but a bit less fragrance. It blooms well and re-blooms too, without the vigor of the lighter blue type, but the color is the main feature of this plant.
Pink Lavender is probably 'Jean Davis' and this is one of my most fragrant lavenders with strong spicy notes to the scent. It is one of the most compact growing of the lavender plants and blooms once, at the end of June, then is done.
Lavender Bunches, approximately 8-14 inches long. 50 stems of English Lavender dried, with a ribbon bow.
$10.00 each, specify type of lavender or Light Blue will be sent. Bulk inquiries welcomed.
