UPCOMING
Saturday Sept 20th is the Northwest Park Country Fair. www.northwestpark.org. 10am to 4pm. I will be showing some photos and also have Maui the Macaw with me for a visit.
See my article on Goodyera Orchids published in their Northwest Passage quarterly.
Saturday October 4th is the Farmington River Watershed Association river cleanup. www.frwa.org for more information. Hope to see other paddlers out there cleaning up!
NEXT PUBLIC HIKE
October 5, please join me for a hike at People's State Forest, starting at the Stone Cottage at 9am sharp, heading up to Beaver Meadow and doing some of the Blue Blazed Trails. I plan on bringing a lunch and doing some fly fishing in the afternoon. As always, rain cancels and please let me know if you are interested in joining me so I can look for you.
Anyone interested in going up the Farmington River here in Windsor to get Clay Concretions out of the clay beds? Despite occasional thunder storms, the water level is down and there are plenty of cool looking precipitates. I'm currently available even on weekdays, in between projects.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING ME ON HIKES YOU NEED TO SPEAK WITH ME IN PERSON FOR TIMES AND DIRECTIONS.

If you would like me to come and talk to your Garden Club, Plant Society, or other Organization, please contact me! I am available for talks with slides or Power Point presentation, and can do workshops on making Lavender Wands, Cold-process Soap Making, and Re-potting Orchids. I am also available to guide Hikes or Quiet-Water Kayaking.
I have organically grown lavender available by the bunch as well as a variety of non-food lavender products.
